Transparent Pricing for Custom 3D Printing

At 3DChum, every part is custom-manufactured based on your design file and specifications. Because no two prints are the same, final pricing is calculated from actual print time and material usage after we review your file for manufacturability and quality.

We believe in a simple, fair, and transparent process — you always approve the final price before production begins.

How Pricing Works

1. Submit Your Design

Upload your 3MF, STL, STEP, or OBJ file using our order form and select your material, size, and production speed.

2. Processing Deposit

A non-refundable processing deposit is charged at submission. This covers:

File review and manufacturability analysis

Print time and material estimation

Production planning and scheduling

This deposit is applied toward your final total once your order is approved.

3. Final Quote & Approval

We calculate your final price based on:

Print time (machine hours)

Material usage (filament weight)

Part size and complexity

Selected production speed

You will receive a final quote and production estimate. Nothing is printed without your approval.

4. Manufacturing & Shipping

Once approved, we manufacture your part, perform quality checks, and securely package it for shipment.

Your final price is calculated using the following structure:

Machine Time

$5.00 per hour of print time

Material Usage

$0.10 per gram of filament

Standard PLA typically averages ~$0.05 per gram
